Educating Children with Problems

Parents who use harsh punishment as part of the discipline in educating their children and are likely to cause more problems than just parent-child relationships are less intimate.

A study recently conducted showed that mothers who are too loud can affect the ability of their children in showing empathy.

The results of this study clearly indicate that the mother discipline and excessive punishment system, which does not attempt to communicate, to give an explanation, understanding and applying the rules consistent, and that is outrageous scold their children or showed their disappointment to the child tend to hinder the development of the child prasosial, writes Dr. Paul D. Hastings, from the National Institute of Mental Health.

The research focuses only on parents' style of parenting children concluded that children interpret the behavior as strong lack of affection from their parents.

The results of this study have been published in the September issue of the journal Developmental Psychology.

Conversely, the warm mother, who uses
explanation and does not rely on harsh punishment in
disciplining the children, they tend to grow
sense of empathy in their children. Further research is needed to see how style affects the foster father of the child care for one another.

Research group observed the development of three groups of children, level of disturbing behavior keagresivan or different from pre-school to primary school.

While all three groups showed levels of concern for the same fellow in the pre school, along with a sense of empathy over time children who have behavioral problems diminished.

To measure levels of empathy, the researchers saw
how these kids react to the play in which a female researcher or mother of the child's leg in an accident. The adults who had an accident grimace, express pain verbally and rubbing the sore place.

In pre-school (around age 4-5 years) children who are aggressive and rioters demonstrating the same care with their friends. A few years later
children with behavior problems had shown
less concern to the adults who
wounded. At the age of nearly 7 years, the majority of
troubled children has lost almost all of their compassion.

More tragically, children are also described as being antisocial by their teachers, and themselves. The children called aggressive showing their ignorance to others through anger, violence, and laugh at the misfortunes of others, particularly toward their mothers.

Researchers say that this response is a reaction to the parenting styles of their mothers.

Young boys tend to experience the emotional pain and, possibly, physically, in their relationships with their mothers, according to Hastings and colleagues said. Their anger and their indifference when their mother is probably in need of their efforts to provide distance or reduce the pain they feel in interactions with their mothers.

The researchers noticed that children of pre school
with behavior problems become less aggressive attitude if they are taught to care for others. Instill a sense of caring for children is a good way to eliminate behavior problems in children who tend to be aggressive or rioters at an early age, so the researchers concluded.
