Setting Linksys WAP 54

First we turn on the power of the WAP
Open Internet Explorer
Type Default his Ip: 192.168.1.245, if your computer ip not the same segment, immediately change to the segment 1



Once there confirmasi window, enter the default password: admin
Having entered the WAP settings there it will have many choices
SETUP:
• Network Setup
Device name filled in:
Configuration type:
- Select Static IP
- Enter the IP address (from ISP / LAN)
- Enter the subnet mask
- Enter the Gateway from (from the ISP / LAN)

Then click save settings
• AP Mode (To find / capture signals)
Select AP client
Then click site survey and then select the signal you want to go.
Always click refresh if porsentase pointing less than 35%. And also do not forget to set the distance towernya corner.
When finished and percentages as expected then click Save.
To change the password, then we can click administration
Remove password and replace the new.
Click Save and when asked to reboot the press reboot.
Usually will automatically exit from the WAP settings and told to go back with a new password.

So when you will return to open your WAP settings so no longer the default IP that you type in Internet Explorer. However, your IP is already entered.
So is the password.
