Review Wifi 802.11 b / g UBNT Nano Station 2

Some day I'm trying to use the new WiFi radio (Access Point) of a UBNT (Nano Station 2) to link my internet connection at home. Seeing the story from friends who use this pernagkat, eventually attracted also to try to use. Overview UBNT Radio WiFi Radio is similar to Motorola, and with far different radio Access Point in general. NanoStation are designed for Ourdoor equipped with internal antenna with a polarization that can be set from software.

Default IP for UBNT is ubnt user and password also ubnt. At the beginning, UBNT can be accessed as a normal Access Point with a default IP address 192.168.1.20.

If required the direction of the antenna more accurately, can use the feature "align Antenna." Able to set the sensitivity level, the quality of the signal will be seen by looking at the lift (dB) Bars and signal lights. This will not reduce / increase the WiFi signal that actually, we only make it easier in the "pointing it". There toblol can digeser to the right and left while we can menatur position antenna.

Another important feature is scaning, NS2 men can easily scan-wifi Access Point in the direction around the antenna and the polarization that has diseting. NS2 could also signal that mendetekasi "invisible SSID", Frekuesnis (not just channel only), Security (WEP, WPA, WPA2), so it is easier to determine which channel will be selected so that does not crash / interference.

In the advance, another feature of NS2 is to do with the antenna polarization selection software: Horizontal, Vertical, or adaptive use external antenna. NS2 I compare this with the Senao + Anetna Grid 24 dB which I attach sebelumnay. Lumayan surprised me, because of NS2 with the default antenna can be comparable with Senao +24 dB (China grid). * Station (Bridge mode for / receiving AP)
* Station WDS (Wireless Distribution System), similar to the System WDS Repeater
* Access Point (AP Mode)
* Access Point WDS (Working combination of AP and WDS)
